Biography

Dr. Matthew Will is the Director of External Relations for the School of Business at the University of Indianapolis. In this role he oversees the Center for Business Partnerships and is primarily responsible for developing affiliations for the School of Business outside the university. He formerly served as Associate Dean of the School of Business at the University of Indianapolis and Director of Graduate Business Programs at the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Will maintains the role of curriculum coordinator for the MBA program and holds the rank of Associate Professor of Finance.

Dr. Will holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from Anderson University. He also holds a B.S. in Actuarial Sciences, held with both honors and distinction as well as a M.B.A. in Finance, both from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He taught finance for nine years at Johns Hopkins University, where he was responsible for the creation of numerous finance programs, including the first finance major. He also helped develop the university's first Masters of Science in Finance degree as well as the university's MBA degree.  While at Indiana University he served as Coordinator of Research at the "Center for Real Estate Studies." Dr. Will received the 1997 "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Johns Hopkins University Business Division.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Will has worked in the private sector for both Fortune 500 firms and small regional companies. Dr. Will worked for a business acquisition firm where he was in charge of the unit that purchased distressed firms and resold them as going concerns.

Dr. Will is the co-author of "Innovative Investor" (McGraw Hill publishers), a software/text book package covering investment and portfolio management topics. Dr. Will's other publications include "PowerPoint Slide," "Ready Notes," and the "Study Guide" to accompany "Fundamentals of Corporate Finance" by Brealey, Myers, and Marcus and "Principles of Corporate Finance" by Brealey, Myers and Allen. In addition,  he is the author of "Questions to Accompany Morningstar StockTools - 1998."

He has also spent time providing consulting services to non-profit and charitable organizations in the areas of finance and technology.
